About the project

Aligned with DS4JI, our team has been entrusted with a vital mission: delivering training to South African Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMMEs) with a dual focus. This involves equipping them with the capacity to select the most suitable digitally skilled youth and fostering an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles in their hiring processes.

One of the central challenges addressed by the project is the difficulty faced by SMMEs in recruiting individuals with the appropriate digital skillset. HR personnel at SMMEs often find themselves overwhelmed by the sheer volume of applications and struggle to match the technical, digital, and soft skills required for the advertised positions.

Our mission is to empower South African SMMEs with the knowledge and tools needed to identify and hire digitally skilled youth effectively, while also fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in their recruitment processes.
